The Beaver Water District is located in the unincorporated town of Beaver in Tillamook County, established in 1971. Our water comes from the surface of Beaver Creek.
Keeping you informed
Since December 2012, we have been working with HBH Consulting Engineers, for the purpose of obtaining a Master Plan that will allow the District to pursue the proper path toward a sustainable water system. The existing water system, especially the water treatment plant is aging, approaching 30 years old and at times, unable to operate due to turbidity levels in Beaver Creek. The existing water reservoir is a 150,000 gallon steel tank. As a result, the District is unable to approve water services at this time and still provide good quality drinking water to it's existing customers. Our desire is to keep our customers informed and aware of the District operations. Please read about our Master Plan on the Master Plan update page of our website and consider attending our monthly board meetings to learn more and ask questions.
Our next board meeting is Thursday, April 14th, at 7:00pm at the Fire hall in Beaver to discuss our regular monthly business, planned improvements and research updates. This is a public meeting to receive testimony about our System Development Charge before a new rate is set based on our Master Plan for capital improvements. You can download a summary of it on our documents page. We are in the process of securing financing for the purchase of land on which to build a new reservoir. You are encouraged to come, contribute to the future of your water system.
Let us know
For purposes of future development and planning, if you are interested in obtaining water service, or additional water services, we would like to know. Please contact Lisa at 503.392.4886 and leave a message with your contact information. Your name will be added to a list, in order received, so that when improvements allow, water services will be awarded in order received.
